Who We Are

The Centre of Therapy & Counselling Studies is a registered charity, a not-for-profit social enterprise providing full vocational training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. We also offer therapy to anyone in our community to improve their psychological and emotional well-being.

To us it’s not just about the qualifications. It’s a journey of self-discovery - embracing the core conditions of acceptance, genuineness and empathy.

In 1995, three pioneering scholars devised a comprehensive vocational training course in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. CBT was unheard of in Scotland at that time, but by 2002 awareness of the efficacy of CBT created a significant demand for Cognitive Behavioural Therapists.

By 2012, over 100 Cognitive Behavioural Therapists were graduating from our Centre each year.

We continue to deliver exceptional vocational training beginning with COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills at Level 8, SCOTACS Diploma at Level 10 (Honours Degree Level) and we have now added a further Diploma course at Level 11.

Throughout our expansion, ethics and integrity have always remained central to our mission - along with diversity, equality and inclusion.
