Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Centre offer therapy?

Yes. We welcome people of any age or background who need help and would benefit from therapy. We can offer different types of therapy - mainly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) . The first step is booking a clinical assessment. Please phone our friendly staff on 0141 331 0750 to make an appointment.

We would recommend face-to-face therapy if at all possible. That would take place at the Centre of Therapy in Newton Place, Glasgow. Remote working is also an option.

Can I get help with funding?

If you are studying at level 10 or lower, and your personal income is less than £25000 per annum, you may apply for partial funding from the Scottish government via the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). Fill out an application form on the SAAS website at saas.gov.uk .

How do I make a complaint?

Details of our informal and formal complaints policies and procedures can be found on our Complaints pages.

How do I contact the Centre?

Where do courses take place?

Learning to become a therapist involves human contact, empathy, reading non-verbal cues and making connections. We strongly believe that attending courses in person is a far better experience. Most courses are delivered in the Centre in Newton Place, Glasgow - near the Finnieston area of the city - close to transport links.

We also run some courses in Edinburgh at Simpson House on Queen Street, also close to all transport links.

Can I attend a course remotely?

We feel that the ideal therapeutic setting is face to face. However some of our COSCA Certificate courses can be attended remotely via Zoom.
