The course takes place over 3 weekends from 9am-5.30pm

On completion of the April weekend participants and tutors will agree on dates and times for group supervision. 3 x 1 hour of group supervision will occur between April 2027 and December 2027.

Completion time – minimum 1 year

100% attendance required for completion.

The supervision in practice course will be delivered from The Centre of Therapy & Counselling Studies in Glasgow.

This course trains therapists to become supervisors.

The supervision in practice course aims to provide the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to deliver counselling supervision across a range of supervision models and trans-theoretical approaches.

Whether supervising trainee therapists or highly experienced practitioners, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to adapt your supervisory approach to effectively support therapists at every stage of their professional development.

The course is devised to appeal to therapists who are new to the field of supervision practice and to those who already have experience as supervisors.

To apply, counsellors, and/or psychotherapists are required to have two years of post-qualification experience.

Participants are required to complete a minimum of 20 supervisee contact hours and are responsible for accessing their own placement and supervisor.

On successful completion of the supervision course you will be awarded a Certificate from COSCA.
